In Project Borders Queens people from five continents, living in one borough in New York, tell their own stories about global and local borders. Sherif Sadek from Egypt, Angelo Katopodis from Greece, Claudia Cortez from Colombia, Mariella Suarez from Peru and Joseph Cumberbatch from New York live in the borough of Queens in New York City. They have all been lent simple cameras when they briefly returned to their home countries in the winter of 2011-2012. Their pictures, films and stories are now edited in close collaboration with themselves and the project will result in an interactive physical and online exhibition of border maps, films, drawings, still pictures, audio and written stories. As a visitor you will be able to contribute your own border stories through the website, in the exhibition and via the smart phone app.

This page will be updated as the project develops.
